Headed to building where Dr. Gentry works. Took a junker car, parked outside of gate, Bryan noted that the building was closed, and no one was there. We entered in via the umbra where there were a LOT of spiders. We tried valiantly to get past the spiders, but only succeeded in starting a spider conga line, smooshing a bunch, getting hurt, and eventually retreating. Omar yeeted Dr. Gentry’s badge card away while in the umbra, and we no longer have it. Dr. McLeod whimpered with great gusto in legendary form to get us a safe retreat.
After several fantastic ideas were shared, such as herding a ton of deer into the building, or burning it down, we all agreed to get Greek food and go home instead. Heretic got REAL hungry, ate ALL the shawarma, and got a big fat tummy ache.
Remy copied all the data from Dr. Gentry’s home PC onto a specialized (no outside communication) computer, decrypted it, and found his company email. Company email from that AM read that “we are closing RTP site due to security concerns, please do not come in today.” Dr. Shannon Price had sent him a lot of emails, talking about vaccine research, as well as a COVID-19 and Variant R cure. Emails talked about their test subjects, and a COVID-19-R. “Not sure change can be reversed” was also in another email. Slide deck in one email, for presentation for higher ups was an analysis of COVID-19-R, showing how it is similar to COVID-19, but functions differently. Deformed rat pic included, with the notes that they were “unable to reverse extreme changes in test subjects,” but could slow or halt progress. Referenced in-person notes and potentially deformed rats as test subjects.
Remy successfully performed rite of summoning for rat, and got a large rat jaggling to bless our efforts and ask for the release of their people from the Pfizer building. Bonuses included:
