We took the body, the captive, and the cage to the woods nearby the parking lot. Found a Ratkin inside, unconscious. Left the mauled dead body near the cage to be found later. Omar questioned Christopher the guard, who said he works for Pfizer, and was given uniforms and told to guard the shipment. Said Mike was his boss standing near the shipment, and we thought it might the be the guy who is dead now. Omar took Christopher’s stuff, took the battery out of his radio, and let Christopher go.
Remy gained access to the remote security video server to download security feeds. We then took the body of the Ratkin in the van to Bryan’s junkyard. Dr. MacLeod checked the Ratkin medically, and found it heavily sedated with anesthetic.
Ratkin woke up after we return to junkyard. Said it was on its way to its warren, and was abducted by men who spritzed it, and stuffed it into a van. She said her name was Vicky, she agreed to let us know if others of her kind go missing, and we let her go back into the umbra to her warren.
Dr. Washington was interested to hear about the Ratkin, and the info that there was a warren nearby. Said to be careful about bugged clothing from the security guards. On a careful check, Omar and Remy found wires sewn into the waistband of pants of Christopher’s clothing. Drove the transmitter down the road to a different location, and then set it on fire.
Remy got 20 hours of footage from the server watching that locale. It was mostly night footage with a few animals, people who arrive in cars, and walk into the building. Sometimes they leave after 15 mins, or after 6 hours. No panel vans or security guys. Bryan ran the plates on people coming in at night. Found vehicles registered to two people have medical patents for 1) an antiviral drug and 2) a retroviral treatment. Dr. MacLeod found a paper by Dr. Jude Gentry about how to synthetically produce antiviral chemicals in blood and make them acceptable to others. Dr. Gentry shows up at night according to security cameras.
Truck carrying cage was Enterprise Rent-a-Truck. Remy hacked into Enterprise database and got the name of the person Davon Vasquez from Lolair Protection Agency who rented the truck.
