A sept-wide moot was held, and Bryan orated quite well with the assistance of Dr. MacLeod and told our tales for leveling up to Rank 2. Deer was had, and it was mighty tasty.
Then Remy summoned a wine spirit for Dr. MacLeod to learn Rend, but she did a lot of fail. After a second attempt, the spirit was summoned, but Dr. MacLeod had a very difficult time tearing up the wall. Eventually Dr. MacLeod learned the gift.
Remy summoned a spirit of decay for Heretic to learn how to hide bodies, and the pack found the spot in the woods where the vampires hide their kills. After disposing of the most rotten body, Heretic learned this gift.
Finally, Remy summoned a spirit of the Wyld to learn Jam Technology. After purchasing an old Powerbook from a thrift store, she summoned the spider spirit, defeated it, and learned the gift.
Heretic then got a call from a contact asking him to come to visit the Museum of Science in Greensboro because the Red Wolves there were sick. Mother’s Touch was used on them, and reports were made about weird squirrels being in the vicinity. After summoning Squirrel, we were told that they weren’t actually squirrels, but deformed rats.
Bryan successfully finished up fixing up a Spectrum van for us to drive around and have adventures in. Remy procured a Kevlar vest from Bryan, in exchange for help with learning rites.
We rolled up to the Burroughs Wellcome building, and Remy disabled the cameras and electronic security systems. We walked into the building, and headed over to George Holmes’ old office. Omar summoned him, and Dr. Holmes told us he used to work on infectious diseases, but died in the 90s. Dr. Holmes was helping Dr. Gentry slow down COVID because it messes with the afterlife with too many wraiths. Dr. Holmes found a very virulent and lethal strain, and it doesn’t kill survivors, but leaves them changed permanently. Group heard a scratching noise, coming from out in the hall. Dr. Holmes said “They’ve found us! Run!” Dr. MacLeod freaked out, and heavily considered jumping out the window. A swarm of rats, covering the floor and halls came down the hall. In the back were two Crinos Ratkin.
Heretic tried to calm them down, but they responded with “they’ve found the nest!” and continued moving forward. Remy stood out in Crinos form with Omar and the others, and reminded them that she died to save them, and the others were wounded. After name-dropping Vicky, all the little rats stopped. We agreed to parley on neutral ground outside in human/wolf/rat form. After a parley, we all agreed to leave peacefully, and parted ways. “All will be Fera…” Remy sent her Numen after them to track them.
Dr. MacLeod requested a conversation be had about pack leadership and presenting a more united front when faced with conflict, as she was disappointed how this played out.
